Our Mission
To support a high quality of life for carcinoid and neuroendocrine cancer survivors and caregivers in the heartland of America.
We are a proactive, upbeat support group established in July 2008 for carcinoid and neuroendocrine cancer survivors and caregivers in Missouri, Kansas and the neighboring areas. From a core group in Missouri, we now have members from an ever-widening circle which now ranges from California to Maine. We welcome any survivors, caregivers, medical personnel and other interested parties to join in our message board conversations, attend our group meetings, share your story, or provide or seek information.
As survivors and caregivers, we support each other by expanding our knowledge of our rare cancer and sharing our experiences, ways of living with our disease, and resources that are available to prolong a high quality of life for those who live with carcinoid or NETs. We are determined to find and share ways to manage our disease, live productively and have a high quality of life!
There is currently no cure for neuroendocrine cancer, but headway is being made toward controlling progression of the disease and improving our quality of life. We support and encourage research and the quest for a cure.
Join us in our quest for insight into this very challenging rare cancer!
